USTA establishes

Volunteer of the Year Award

Nominations are now being accepted for USTA's new Volunteer of the Year Award, which will recognize one outstanding volunteer every year during a presentation at the U.S. National Baton Twirling Championships.

“Volunteers are essential to the success of our sport and our organization,” said USTA President Karen Cammer. “At the local, state, regional, and national level, they make it possible for us to offer support, informational resources, educational programs, and competitive events to our athletes, coaches, and judges. From local contests and clinics to our National Championships and international competitions, we couldn't do it without them!”

The USTA Volunteer of the Year Award will honor someone who exhibits extraordinary voluntary service and commitment to USTA's mission and contributes time, expertise, skills, and/or resources for the benefit of USTA at a local, state, regional, and/or national level.

Individual members of USTA may submit one official nomination by filling out the nomination form and providing details about how the candidate fulfills each of the listed criteria.

Each state and regional council may submit one official nomination by filling out the nomination form and providing details about how the candidate fulfills each of the listed criteria.

Each nomination will be reviewed by a member of USTA's Leadership Team: Director of Communications, Director Media and Technology, and Member Services Manager. Three members of the Board of Directors will review the top five ranked nominees for final selection.

Nominations must be received by MAY 31, 2023.

Please submit nominations to Sandi Rios, USTA Director of Operations at srios@ustwirling.com.
